Manchester United’s official social media bid farewell to Smalling, who left the team to join Roma, and thanked the England centre-back for his contribution to the team during his time.
A few hours before the closing of the transfer window, Smalling joined Rome, where he played on loan last season, as a permanent transfer. It is reported that the transfer fee is 15 million euros fixed + 5 million euros floating. The 30-year-old English defender has arrived in Rome.
